Method
Fractions to decimals and percentages
1. Fractions to decimals = numerator ÷ denominator eg.
3/4 = 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75
Remember to add at least 2 place holders after the decimal. If there are more, go to 3 decimal places and round
2. Fraction to percentage = Convert fraction to decimal, multiply your answer by 100 and add a % symbol
Decimals to percentages and fractions
1. Decimals to percentages = multiply by 100, add a % symbol to your answer
2. Use your lowest place value column as a denominator
3. Multiply the number by the denominator from part 2 to get a whole number, this is your numerator
Percentages to decimals and fractions
1. Percentage to decimal = divide by 100
2. Percentage to fraction = put it over 100, eg. 53% = 53/100
