Time - Part one

1. am – latest time = 11.59am
    pm – latest time = 23:59pm

2. 12 hour – 24 hour = + 12 in the hours if pm, hours stay the same if am

3. 24 hour – 12 hour = - 12 in the hours if pm, hours stay the same if am

Time - Part two

1. Use a number line method. Is it one jump or more than one jump?

2. One jump – doesn’t cross into the next hour

3. Two jumps – first jump to the next hour then add the remaining minutes

4. Remember we do not use a column method for time

5. Taking it to the next hour is not always the most efficient – can you just add/subtract the hours and minutes?
